The Housing Choice Voucher Program, HCV, is also commonly referred to as Section 8. This is a federally funded housing program to assist low-income households, elderly, and persons with disabilities afford rents in the private market.

What else do I need to know?

- The income guidelines to qualify for the Voucher programs change annually
- To be eligible for the programs your household must fall within the income limits
- There is no minimum income requirements to qualify for a voucher
- You may not be eligible if you owe money to a Housing Authority, or you have been terminated from a federally subsidized housing. You may also be denied entry if you have recent criminal activity involving domestic violence or drug related criminal activity.
